On March 14th, members came to network and nosh for a great cause, to support SNAP: Special Needs Autism Program, the POB Chamber's charity of choice this year. The Mid-Island Y JCC hosted the event and provided a delicious Chinese buffet. C2 Education's Kate Salvia presented SNAP co-founders Barbi Schwartzberg and Paige Bravin with a donation for $200 and several hundred dollars in raffle earnings were also gratefully accepted.
Barbi and Paige shared a new video about the organization's accomplishments featuring passionate messages from many of the POB District's special education staffers. They praised enhancements which have "helped keep motivation levels high among students." Going forward, a new project at the elementary school level aims to increase student independence.
